Pieces of nature that fell and died are resurrected, creating new sights, pieces of scenic experience.
The Carmel is the landscape of my homeland. The place where I learned to gaze into the eyes of the creation in awe: its slopes, its charming alcoves, its golden beaches and wondrous oysters.
The literal meaning of the name Carmel is a place of vineyards and gardens, and for me it represents the ideal place, the essence of love embodied in nature.
I find it in different places – it could be a trickling stream or the mold under a leaf.
It is present in each encounter with those details of eternal beauty incorporated in a simple stone, a feather or a branch.
As I collect those details for a new piece, I strive to remind others how precious this place really is for mankind.
We, who walk upon the earth,
Whispering secrets and prayers to the sky,
Perhaps one day will know the way
To the Carmel inside us.
